Social Networking

Facebook, Myspace and Twitter are social networking websites whereby users can add friends and send them messages, share photos and update their personal profiles to notify friends about themselves.

The ease of use and global popularity has made such sites indispensible tools for networking. However, criticism has been levelled pertaining to issues such as the privacy of their users, user safety, inappropriate content, addiction and facilitating crimes and various heinous acts.

Time to reassess.

The polling period is from 01/02/2010 to 03/03/2010.
1 How many hours a day do you spend on social networking sites such as Facebook, Myspace and Twitter?
2 I use social networking sites primarily to:
Sustainable Development

Our Common Future report defines “Sustainable Development” as development which meets the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. It relates to the visionary process of balancing necessary development projects for economic prosperity at a rate that does not deplete or permanently damage the natural resources of Mother Earth and social cohesion in the world.

Hence, we are otten reminded to Think Global, Act Local, Global issues refers to Climate Change caused by pollution, energy, population and world hunger, etc while local concerns relates to individual country’s sustainable approaches in addressing its own environmental protection, waste management, societal resettlement, etc.

The world of business and the world of nature need not collide.

What dreams may come in our political will, economic myths and ecological realities?

The polling period is from 11/12/2009 to 14/02/2010.
1 My main priority consideration and concern is:
2 Issues such as climate change and ecosystems/biodiversity are of:
